Medicine closed November 19, 2005.
The National Library of Medicine in conjunction with the American Library Association has launched a traveling
exhibition about the history of women physicians also called Changing the Face of Medicine, which is an
adaptation of the 4,000 square foot exhibition display in Bethesda at the National Library of Medicine from
October 2003 - November 2005.
The traveling exhibition features two computer kiosks that showcase the multimedia features of the original
exhibition, including short films about women physicians past and present, educational activities, and career
