Commissioned Officer Training lasts five weeks and is designed to help ease the transition of candidates in the healthcare, legal and religious professions from the private sector into military life. You’ll begin with a training regimen designed to educate you in the ways of the military. This is an important time during which you’ll develop into an officer and a leader. You’ll participate in physical conditioning five days a week, training, financial seminars and classroom studies.

TYPICAL SCHEDULE
5:15–6:00 a.m. Five days per week, you’ll begin the day with physical conditioning.
7:45–11:50 a.m. Auditorium seminars and classroom studies covering military law, dress and grooming, etc.
12:00p.m.–1:30p.m. Lunch
12:00–5:30 p.m. Broaden your horizons. Classes include writing strategies, principles of war, USAF history: WWII, leadership and management case studies and more.
5:45–6:45 p.m. Dinner
7:15 p.m. Group study with flight mates.
9:00 p.m. Individual study time to prepare for the coming day, uniform cleaning or dorm room organization.
11:00 p.m. Personal time.
12:00 a.m. Lights out.
