The American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series showcases the Presidential $1 Coins. Eleventh in the series is the 2009 James K. Polk $1 Coin Cover. This limited-edition cover – only 40,000 will be produced – features two James K. Polk $1 Coins from the first day of production at each United States Mint facility – June 1, 2009 (Philadelphia), and June 15, 2009 (Denver). The coins are mounted on a handsome display card inside an envelope with a U.S. 44-cent Flag postage stamp. Additionally, the cover features a portrait of our 11th President in front of an American flag. The postmark of AUGUST 20, 2009, COLUMBIA, TN, marks the day the James K. Polk $1 Coins were first released to the public.
