All National Archives research rooms will be closed on Monday, October 8, in observance of Columbus Day. Museums in Washington, DC, and at the Presidential libraries will be open.

Please note: North and South Dakota records created before 1972 are held in Kansas City.

We're Moving:
The National Archives at Denver is moving to a new facility in Broomfield, Colorado. We will open to the public on Tuesday, October 9th in our new facility at 17101 Huron Street, Broomfield, CO 80023. Our research room hours will be 8:30-4:00, Monday-Friday, except public holidays. Our new phone number will be 303-604-4700.

The Genealogical research room will open October 9th at 8:30am. Their new phone number is 303-604-4740

All prospective researchers for textual research may reach the archives staff to make an appointment by calling (303) 604-4740 or by email at denver.archives@nara.gov.

Our archival holdings are comprised of Federal records that date from the mid-1800s to the late 1900s received from over 100 Federal agencies and courts.
Learn about our Records Center
We maintain non-current records from Federal agencies and courts and provide temporary storage of retired Federal records.
National Archives at Denver Guides

Archives Division

Our Regional Archives has both a Microfilm Research Room and an Archival Research Room. We have extensive microfilm holdings for genealogy research and general historical interest.

Federal Records Center

Our Denver facility also serves as a Federal Records Center, storing and servicing records for more than 100 Federal agencies, including the courts. We offer "Pick-up and Delivery" and other special services, including tailored workshops.
