Education Department Senior Official to Discuss College Affordability and Community Engagement at President’s Interfaith and Community Service Challenge in New York City

Senior Advisor for the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships Ken Bedell will chair a convening of postsecondary institutions to discuss opportunities for engagement on Friday, Sept. 28 in New York City. The event involves a gathering of higher education institutions to discuss the President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge and how all schools can benefit from increased interfaith cooperation and community service by participating in the challenge.

The President’s Challenge is beginning its second year. In this meeting, institutions that participated in 2011-12 will share their experiences and discuss plans for the 2012-13 academic year.
