U.S. Under Secretary of Education to Discuss College Affordability During Town Hall at Georgetown University

U.S. Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will participate in a town hall discussion on college affordability at 5:15 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27, at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. The town hall will include around 100 Georgetown students, faculty and community members. A question-and-answer session will follow.

Kanter will open the town hall with remarks on the Obama administration's recent efforts to keep college affordable for millions of American students. She also will discuss student financial aid options as well as the importance of holding down student loan debt and community involvement in education. Acting Assistant Secretary for Postsecondary Education David Bergeron will be joining Kanter for the event.
