Teen Dating Violence Workshop Proceedings
NIJ has held two meetings about research related to teen dating violence.
- On July 24 – 25, 2006, workshop attendees discussed the research needs related to teen dating violence and made recommendations for future research and prevention and intervention programs. Read a Summary of the July 2006 Teen Dating Violence Workshop.
- On December 4 – 5, 2007, attendees listened and reacted to presentations focused on research frameworks for understanding teen dating violence and programs. Workshop on Predisposition Revictimization in Cases of Violence Against Women
On January 31 – February 1, 2005, workshop attendees explored the revictimization that occurs in the period between arrest and case disposition in cases of violence against women. Workshop on Safety and Accountability Audits
On October 26, 2004, workshop attendees discussed ideas regarding the Safety and Accountability Audit, a research approach that uses institutional ethnography to identify changes in policy or practice that may be needed to address violence against women. Addressing Violence in Criminal Justice Practice Workshop
On January 21 – 22, 2004, workshop attendees discussed ways to reduce violence and how to better ensure that criminal justice policies and practices minimize violence in communities.
