Collection and Disclosure of Information
To ensure we are able to communicate effectively with FederalReporting.gov users, we collect some information directly associated with a specific person during the registration process. We call this "Personal Information," and it includes, by way of illustration, names, addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses. We collect Personal Information from individuals registering to report Recovery Act data on behalf of a Federal Agency or a Recipient. Personal information such as name, telephone number, and email address will be shared with the organization Point of Contact for purposes of validating registration. It is our general policy not to make Personal Information available to anyone other than our employees, staff, and agents.
All reports submitted to FederalReporting.gov, as well as comments associated with reports from Federal Agencies, will be available to the public via Recovery.gov.
Information Collected and Stored Automatically
- The Internet domain (for example, "xcompany.com" if you use a private Internet access account, or "yourschool.edu" if you connect from a university's domain) and IP address (an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you're surfing the web) from which you access our website
- The type of browser (such as Firefox or Internet Explorer) and operating system (such as Windows, Mac, Unix) used to access our site
- The date and time you access our site
- The pages you visit
- If you linked to the FederalReporting.gov website from another website, the address of that website
