About the Presenter

Kristy Fifelski is the Web Services Manager for the City of Reno, Nevada. She manages the award winning Reno.gov website and Reno’s social media program. She is responsible for coordinating and training 80+ staff content editors and implementing web services.

Kristy serves as the West Region Director for the National Association of Government Webmasters and she is a former ‘Employee of the Year’ for the City of Reno. Kristy’s blog at kristyfifelski.com focuses on government use of web, social media, and tech innovations.

Kristy graduated with honors from Northern Illinois University and holds a Master’s Degree in Communication. She has served over 10 years working in local government, specializing in public relations and web management. Kristy has also had the privilege of teaching speech communication at the community college and university level.
