United States Mint Brings Back its Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Set
WASHINGTON - The United States Mint Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Set will again be available to collectors beginning September 6 at noon Eastern Time (ET). The set includes uncirculated quality versions of the dollar coins produced by the United States Mint in 2012:
The set is presented in a folder with a description of each coin. A Certificate of Authenticity is printed on the back of the folder. It was last offered in 2008.
The 2012 United States Mint Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Set is priced at $54.95. Orders will be accepted at the bureau's online catalog at http://www.usmint.gov/catalog and at 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468). Hearing- and speech-impaired customers with TTY equipment may order by calling 1-800-321-MINT (6468). An additional charge of $4.95 will be added to all domestic orders for shipping and handling. There is no household order or production limit. The numismatic program is operated at no net cost to the taxpayer.
The United States Mint was created by Congress in 1792. This year marks the bureau's 220th anniversary. The United States Mint is the Nation's sole manufacturer of legal tender coinage and is responsible for producing circulating coinage for the Nation to conduct its trade and commerce.
