Digital SBA
The U.S. Small Business Administration helps Americans grow businesses and create jobs by providing resources and tools for businesses, non-profit organizations, homeowners, and renters. Throughout America’s history, small businesses have played a leading role as the driver of economic growth and job creation. SBA is dedicated to taking advantage of the pace of change in technology in order to provide valued services, interoperability, and openness to provide the best tools and information to Americans.
The SBA Strategic Plan is working to provide better access to information, provide assistance, and to improve customer outreach and education. The SBA IT Strategic Plan directly aligns with goals from the SBA Strategic Plan and reflects the Agency’s dedication to optimizing and maintaining SBA’s IT infrastructure, identifying areas for IT efficiency and innovation, and investing in the IT workforce. The SBA efforts in increasing use of digital services and automation, in many instances, has been at the forefront and will build upon the U.S. Digital Government Strategy issued on May 23, 2012.
SBA recognizes that executing on a Digital Strategy is not solely a technology issue. Technology and digital services is an enabler, but the delivery of services and assistance to customers is an overall SBA mission across all its functional lines. In the rapidly evolving digital world and mobile environment, SBA will continue to improve its capabilities and offerings in the areas of: Services, Mobility, Engagement, and Security.
