RFA on Mouse Mutagenesis and Phenotyping: Developmental
Defects
The NIH requests applications to establish a facility for large-scale
mutagenesis and phenotyping of developmental defects in the mouse.
The characterized mutants will be distributed to the scientific
community and are expected to serve as a valuable resource for the
study of gene function, particularly as it relates to development.
This Request For Applications (RFA) is co-sponsored by seven Institutes
(NICHD, NIGMS, NIA, NIAMS, NIDCR, NIDDK, and NHLBI). Collectively,
they will provide up to $2.8 million (total cost).
A public briefing will be held for RFA HD-99-007 and a companion
RFA MH-99-007 (Mouse Mutagenesis and Phenotyping: Nervous System
Behavior) on June 21, 1999, at the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD. The
schedule for both projects has been carefully coordinated. The receipt
date for a letter of intent is August 2, 1999, and the application
deadline is October 14, 1999. The anticipated award date is August
1, 2000.
