• Go to www.fafsa.gov and click the “Start Here” button.
• Log in (you’ll be asked for your first and last name, Social Security number, and date of birth).
• The “My FAFSA” page will display the status of your FAFSA and of your Federal Student Aid PIN.

• Go to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS^®) and click the “Financial Aid Review” button.
• You’ll need your Federal Student Aid PIN to access your information. (Did you forget your PIN? See the next question.)
• Need additional information? NSLDS has contact information for loan servicers.

• Go to the Federal Student Aid PIN website.
• Click on “Request Duplicate PIN” on the left side of the page.
• Enter your Social Security number, name, and date of birth, and answer the challenge question.
• Select the “Display Now” option to have the PIN displayed on the screen, “E-mail” to have your PIN e-mailed to you, or “Postal Mail” to have your PIN mailed to you.
• Don’t share your PIN with anyone!

• Already filled out your FAFSA? After receiving information from your processed FAFSA, the financial aid office at your college will determine how much and what kind(s) of financial aid you are eligible to receive. Watch for a letter, e-mail, or other contact from your school. You can make the change

• online by logging in at www.fafsa.gov,
• by asking the school to add itself,
• by adding the school on your paper Student Aid Report, or
• by contacting the Federal Student Aid Information Center.

You will need your Data Release Number (DRN) if you choose the second or fourth option above.
