The Volunteer Recognition Program awards volunteers when various milestones have been achieved in both the DAV Transportation Network (TN) and Department of Veterans Affairs Voluntary Service (VAVS) programs.

Volunteers have the opportunity to select from several different items within the milestone categories. In addition to milestone awards, the collectable "miles and hours pin" will still be distributed along with the volunteer’s award letter.
