Summary: On Friday, December 16, 2011, the House adopted the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2012 (H.R. 2055) by a vote of 296 to 121. On Saturday, December 17, 2011, the Senate adopted the FY 2012 bill by a vote of 67 to 32.

Fiscal Year 2012 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill
On July 25, 2011, the House began consideration of H.R. 2584, the Fiscal Year 2012 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill following the Appropriations Committee approval on July 12, 2011 and the Interior Appropriations Subcommittee mark up on July 7, 2011. The bill provides $9.9 billion in current authority for Interior programs funded in the bill, $722 million below the 2011 enacted level and $1.2 billion below the President's request.

Summary: Department of the Interior Highlights of House Full Committee Action on the Fiscal Year 2012 Energy and Water Development Appropriations Bill

The House passed the Energy and Water Development appropriations bill (HR 2354) on July 15 by a vote of 219 to 196. The House Full Appropriations Committee reported its 2012 bill on June 15, following the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee's markup on June 2. The Committee bill provides $971.3 million for Reclamation, $91.3 million below the 2011 enacted level and $47.1 million below the President's request. The bill provides $28.7 million for CUPCA, $3.2 million below the 2011 enacted level and $4.3 million below the President's request.
