Submit Manuscript

To submit a manuscript, access Manuscript Central. Include a cover letter indicating the proposed category of the article (e.g., research, dispatch) and verifying that the final manuscript has been seen and approved by all the authors. Complete the Author Checklist: Word Format (137 KB, 1 page) | PDF Format (41 KB, 1 page).

Emerging Infectious Diseases strictly enforces word limits on all articles. Please allow some flexibility by submitting counts 100-200 words below the requirement so that as the manuscript is revised, information generated by reviewer comments can be included.

After you have received acknowledgment of manuscript receipt, use assigned manuscript number in all correspondence.

Submit manuscripts online through Manuscript Central only. Manuscripts (initial submissions as well as revisions) submitted by email will be returned.
