Welcome!

This Requirements Management Community of Practice (RMCoP) is DoD’s central repository for information related to DoD and Service capability identification and requirements development. The RMCoP provides you with 24/7 access to unclassified resources such as learning materials, links, policies, and news.

What is a DoD Requirements Manager (RM)? An RM is a military member or DoD civilian charged with developing, assessing, validating, and prioritizing requirements and associated requirements products. Additionally, the RM advocates for the Warfighter within DoD’s three decision support systems: the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), the Defense Acquisition System (DAS), and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) system.
