Established: As a temporary committee, by EO 10308, December 3, 1951.

Functions: Improved compliance with nondiscrimination provisions of federal contracts.

Abolished: By EO 10479, August 13, 1953.

Successor Agencies: Government Contract Committee (also known as the President's Committee on Government Contract Compliance, 1953-61); President's Committee on Equal Employment Opportunity (1961-65).
