In Their Voice

Get a glimpse into the activities of the Sustainability Grant communities through these video snapshots of activities, lessons learned and early progress of these multi-year initiatives.   Click on the pictures to watch the videos.

Several HUD Sustainable Communities Grantees are developing local food enterprises both as economic development strategies and as ways to increase the availability of local, healthy food. Featured here are the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (Columbus, OH) and the Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission, in NH.

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn unveils InVision Tampa, which will create a blueprint for growth in Tampa’s city center focused on “people, places and progress.” The City of Tampa received a FY10 Community Challenge grant.

In an Inside TN news show, Mayors Taylor and Rogero, and Chamber of Commerce Director Graham, discuss PlanET (Plan East TN),  a regional partnership shaping a shared direction for the future.   This five-county Knoxville region received a $4.3 HUD Sustainability Grant.
