Federal Government Leadership Development Programs

SES Candidate Development Program

An 18-month program during which the candidate is provided with opportunities to build competence in the OPM Executive Core Qualifications. Participation in this program is based on a competitive selection process restricted to individuals with at least 1 year of leadership experience in a position at the GS-14/15 level or equivalent. Successful completion of the program provides eligibility for appointment to the USDA SES without competition.
