Physician Workforce Policy Recommendations Address Doctor Shortage
An update to the AAMC's physican workforce policy calls for the number of federally supported graduate medical education training positions to increase by at least 4,000 positions a year, with 2,000 of these new positions targeted to primary care and other generalist disciplines.
