Interior Joining Forces with Defense to Increase Energy Security

WASHINGTON, DC – On Monday, August 6, 2012, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will hold a press conference call to announce a major renewable energy initiative between the Department of the Interior and the Department of Defense. Salazar will be joined on the call by Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Installations and Environment Dr. Dorothy Robyn and U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who will preview the National Clean Energy Summit 5.0 that he is hosting the following day.
