Salazar to Make Fourth Trip to Alaska as Secretary of the Interior

WASHINGTON, DC – Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar is scheduled to make his fourth trip to Alaska in the coming days as part of the Obama Administration’s ongoing commitment to the state and its people.

On August 11 and 12, Salazar will tour the North Slope and the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska where he is expected to discuss issues regarding resource development and public lands management with local elected leaders and stakeholders.

On Monday, August 13, Salazar will hold a press conference in Anchorage to wrap-up his three-day visit. Salazar will be joined by Bureau of Land Management Acting Director Mike Pool.
