HUD NAMES EARL REDRICK AS NEBRASKA'S FIELD OFFICE DIRECTOR
HUD and Army vet to assume leadership of HUD's mission in the Cornhusker State

KANSAS CITY, KS - U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Regional Administrator Derrith Watchman-Moore announced the selection of Earl Redrick to serve as Field Office Director in Omaha, Nebraska. Nebraska is one of the four states in HUD's Region VII which also includes Iowa, Kansas and Missouri. Redrick began his duties in the Omaha Office on May 21, 2012.

Redrick will coordinate outreach activities and program delivery to HUD customers and communities throughout the state. He will also serve as a liaison to mayors, city managers, elected representatives, state and local officials, congressional delegations, stakeholders and customers and will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of HUD programs and services to communities and organizations.

"Earl brings a huge skill set and a wealth of leadership experience to our Omaha field office," said Watchman-Moore. "We're thrilled to know that our partners in Nebraska can rely on Earl to be a trusted partner as we work together to help those people and places most in need."

Redrick has been with the Department since 2000, serving in a number of roles while assigned to the Fort Worth Regional Office. He performed duties as an Equal Opportunity Specialist in the Office of Systemic Investigations, working to desegregate Public Housing Authorities in 36 East Texas Counties. He served as an Investigator in Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity FHEO (FHEO), conducting fair housing investigations and related outreach activities.

Most recently, Redrick represented the Department as the Fort Worth Region, FHEO Intake Branch Chief responsible for effectuating fair housing activities throughout the five-state region. During his time in FHEO, Redrick volunteered to serve as team lead on a number of highly complex and extremely sensitive investigations. He also participated in a number of management related projects, focused on the Department's efforts of transformation, including an extensive management pilot program targeting continued training and development for all levels of supervisors and managers regardless of tenure.

Redrick possesses undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University. Additionally, he served his country as a soldier in the U.S. Army for 20-plus years, earning the highest enlisted rank of Sergeant Major.
