The US Capitol Grounds Project Office has an ongoing need for sidewalk replacement at various locations through-out the US Capitol campus.  This requirement shall be for a base work at 3 separate locations with total estimated amounts as follows:  2002 SY sidewalk, plus 424 LF 8"  granite curb alignment, plus 92 LF granite curb replacement, plus 774 brick gutter replacement, plus 6 each accessible ramps, plus 34 LF radial granite curb replacement.  The optional items are estimated as follows:  11,119 SY of sidewalk, plus 2,740 LF of slate reset, plus 3,397 LF of 8" granite curb re-alignment, plus 772 LF of 8" granite curb replacement, plus 84 LF of 8" granite curb replacement radial, plus 4,175 brick gutter replacement, plus 8 each accessible ramps, plus 55 LF of 6" granite curb re-alignment.  The contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment for the required sidewalk and curb work.  The AOC reserves the right to award all tasks or any combination of tasks subject to the availability of funds.  Additionally, the AOC reserves the right to include in the awarded task order as option item(s) any task not initially awarded.  The option amounts are expected to be awarded through 2014.  The base requirements are expected to be awarded in fiscal year 2012.  The site visit will occur at 9:00 am local time at the Ford House Office Building at the Second Street entrance top of the stairs near D Streets SW, Washington, DC on July 18, 2012.  The drawings & specifications will be mailed on a CD if the mailing address is provided by any interested contractor by an e-mail request to John Friedhoff, at jfriedho@aoc.gov Contracting Officer.  This requirement is subject to World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements.  This requirement is not a Small Business set-aside.  The only correction is the site visit date shall be  at9:00 am on July 18, 2012.  All other information except for the closing date of August 1, 2012 is unchanged.

Description: The amendment 01 correct the contractor performance period that shall be completed within 730 calendar days after receiving the award. Other corrections and AOC response to the question received is shown on page 2 of this amendment. The bid closing time remains at August 1, at 2:00 pm local time and all bid are due by that time. The public bid opening is scheduled for August 7, 2012 at noon in the Ford House Office Building, at Second & D Streets, SW, Room H2-396, Washington DC 20515.
