Karen Cator, director of the Office of Educational Technology, will lead a panel discussion on the Obama Administration’s efforts to reform education through the smart use of technology on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the Modeling and Simulation Multi-Conference (MODSIM 2012) in Suffolk, Va. Cator will discuss the initiatives underway that are designed to support the advancement of powerful teaching and learning with technology.

MODSIM 2012 is a multi-disciplinary, international conference for the exchange of modeling and simulation knowledge, research and technology across industry, government, and academia. The conference will focus on transportation, healthcare, education and workforce development, manufacturing, and cyber-warfare.
