Dorchester Alcohol and Drug Commission offers a multi-disciplinary, integrated approach to the treatment of alcohol and other drug addiction and mental health disorders. We understand the need to work with our clients as individuals within the context of family, social relationships, and the community. Our prevention, intervention and treatment services support successful healing in your journey of recovery.

The Dorchester Alcohol and Drug Commission’s clinical counselors hold masters degrees and licensure in the areas of Counseling, Psychology, Human Services and other related fields and are highly qualified to treat substance abuse, emotional and behavioral problems.

The Dorchester Alcohol and Drug Commission offers comprehensive assessments and individualized treatment planning, allowing clients and counselors to work together to develop an effective course of treatment. Clients are fully supported in meeting their recovery goals to lead healthier and productive lives.

We strive to meet your needs in a timely, cost-effective manner. Assessments are available the same or next day you call. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and some private insurance. For self pay clients, we will work with you to develop a payment plan to fit your financial situation.

The Dorchester Alcohol and Drug Commission is the county authority for the prevention and treatment of substance abuse and related disorders. The Commission is home to Dorchester Counseling Services, which specializes in outpatient therapy for individuals, couples and families related to emotional or behavioral issues.

The Dorchester Alcohol and Drug Commission is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), meeting the best possible standards and assuring clients they will receive the highest caliber services at our agency.
