Protecting your GSA SmartPay 2 Card

It is important to understand how to protect not only the charge card, but also the cardholders from fraud. Identifying and reporting fraud is the responsibility of cardholder and the program coordinator.  This section discusses some tips to help detect and avoid becoming a victim of fraud. Knowledge is the best protection for your GSA SmartPay 2 card.  To run an effective program, you must not only understand, but also share this knowledge with your cardholders.


The GSA SmartPay® program provides charge cards to agencies/departments throughout the U.S. government, as well as tribal governments, through master contracts that are negotiated with major national banks.
