2013 Program Announcement and Guidelines for the P30 Cancer Center Support Grant

The Office of Cancer Centers has released a new Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for applications submitted on or after January 25, 2013. You can access the announcement in the NIH Guide at PAR-12-298: Cancer Center Support Grants (CCSGs) for NCI-designated Cancer Centers (P30). The 2013 Cancer Center Support Grant Guidelines, a Data Table Guide, summary of changes, and FAQs can be accessed on our Grants & Funding page. As the Guidelines contain more information than the PAR, we suggest you use them as your primary resource.

These new guidelines and FOA reflect a greater focus on impact and quality of science, recognition of collaborations outside the center walls, harmonization with other NCI initiatives, and more flexibility for support of clinical and translational components. There are also changes in page limits for some components and in some aspects of the review process. Potential applicants should review the changes carefully before submitting an application. Consultation with program staff is highly recommended.
