The Impact of Safety Equipment Modalities on Reducing Correctional Officer Injuries
NIJ will seek applications for research to identify how differences in agency policies and practices across the United States regarding safety equipment affect the safety of correctional officers. At the conclusion of this project, the successful applicant will deliver a report that details the safety equipment modalities currently in use in correctional institutions across the United States, the rationale for using these modalities, and existing evidence regarding their efficacy.
