Advocacy
The voice of small business on Capitol Hill since it was created in 1976, the Office of Advocacy works to protect, strengthen and represent the interests of the nation’s small businesses within the Federal Government.
Ombudsman
If excessive fines, penalties, or unfair regulatory enforcement by federal agencies are problems for your small business, you have a voice in Washington, D.C., through SBA’s Office of the National Ombudsman.
Inspector General
The Office of the Inspector General conducts audits, investigations and other reviews to deter and detect waste, fraud and abuse in SBA programs and operations and to promote agency efficiency and effectiveness.

Karen Gordon Mills was sworn in as the 23rd Administrator of the Small Business Administration in April of 2009 after being appointed by President Barack Obama and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate. She has served in the President’s Cabinet since January of 2012. As part of the Cabinet, Administrator Mills is a key member of the President’s economic leadership team, reflecting the important role that small businesses and entrepreneurs play in our nation’s long-term economic growth and prosperity.

Marie Johns is Deputy Administrator of the US Small Business Administration, where she contributes to management of the agency and development of SBA policy. Johns was nominated by President Obama on December 17th, 2009 and confirmed by unanimous consent in the Senate on June 22nd, 2010.
