The National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Office of Advocacy Relations (OAR) engages the advocacy and NCI communities in dialogue about cancer research opportunities and priorities in order to advance progress and improve outcomes.
The Advocates in Research Working Group (ARWG) was created under the auspices of the Directors Consumer Liaison Group (DCLG) to provide NCI with recommendations for involving advocates across the spectrum of NCI activities in ways that will accelerate progress, benefit patients, and improve public health. The final ARWG Executive Summary and Recommendations are now available.
