The Federal-State Unemployment Insurance (UI) program, administered by the U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) Employment and Training Administration (ETA), provides a partial wage replacement for individuals who are unemployed due to a lack of suitable work. Unemployment benefits are provided to unemployed workers who meet certain eligibility requirements.
