Cord
Blood Transplantation Study (COBLT)

unrelated donor umbilical cord blood could serve as an adequate hematopoietic
stem cell source for adults and children with malignancies, immune deficiencies,
inherited marrow failure, or inborn errors of metabolism.
Guide
to Selected Publicly Available Sleep-Related Data Resources
This index was organized by the NHLBI National Center on Sleep Disorders
Research as a resource to facilitate the efforts of individual investigators
interested in the relationship between sleep, lifestyle, cardiopulmonary
diseases, and related risk factors.
NSF
Great American Sleep Challenge™
The NSF Great American Sleep Challenge is an online public awareness campaign
designed to encourage Americans to pay attention to their sleep. It asks
participants to review their sleep habits, gauge their satisfaction and
take action if they are not getting good sleep. The Sleep Challenge begins
on February 5 and continues through March 31. It’s an easy, seven-day
commitment and may put you on track for feeling rested, rejuvenated and
ready to go.
National
Sleep Awareness Week
National Sleep Awareness Week® (NSAW) is the week leading up to the
return of Daylight Saving Time, when clocks “spring forward”
and people throughout the country may lose an hour of needed sleep. Launched
in 1998, National Sleep Awareness Week is an opportunity for communities
and organizations to partner with NSF in drawing attention to the importance
of quality sleep and the treatment of sleep problems for good health,
productivity, and safety. A highlight of the Week’s activities is
the release of NSF’s annual Sleep in America poll, the only annual
barometer of how Americans are sleeping. This year’s poll will focus
on the sleep habits and attitudes of American women. Poll results are
released to the American public on March 6.
NSAW begins
March 5 and continues through March 11. In addition to release of the
poll data mentioned above, NSF will conduct the Women and Sleep Scientific
Workshop on March 5 and 6. On the evening of March
6, NSF hosts the Night of a Thousand Dreams fund raising gala, which
draws hundreds of sleep supporters as well as key influencers in the medical
and sleep community.
