As a result of President Obama's Executive Order signed March 11, establishing the White House Council on Women and Girls, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan designated Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Russlynn Ali to represent the department on the WHCWG. During the past year, working with the White House Council on Women and Girls, the Department of Education's own Council on Women and Girls created a report on the many programs and policies we have in place to support the academic achievement and professional environment for women and girls.
