National Register of Historic Places

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is responsible for the stewardship of more than 470 historic properties. These properties represent the work of prominent architects and are valued for their significance in American history, architecture, art, archeology, engineering and culture. GSA takes great pride in its inventory and strives to preserve, protect, and utilize historic properties as established in Section 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966. Currently, more than 300 GSA properties are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. In addition, GSA is actively working to nominate approximately 140 eligible properties.
