The National Women's Health Information Center (NWHIC) is a service of the Office on Women's Health (OWH) in the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The Office on Women's Health (OWH) was established in 1991 within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Its vision is to ensure that “All Women and Girls are Healthier and Have a Better Sense of Well Being.” Its mission is to “provide leadership to promote health equity for women and girls through sex/gender-specific approaches.” The strategy OWH uses to achieve its mission and vision is through developing innovative programs, by educating health professionals, and motivating behavior change in consumers through the dissemination of health information.

The National Women's Health Information Center (NWHIC) is the most reliable and current information resource on women’s health today. We offer FREE women’s health information on more than 800 topics through our call center and web site.

About Ad Council

The Ad Council is a private, non-profit organization that marshals volunteer talent from the advertising and communications industries, the facilities of the media, and the resources of the business and non-profit communities. The Ad Council produces, distributes and promotes thousands of public service campaigns on behalf of non-profit organizations and government agencies in issue areas such as improving the quality of life for children, preventative health, education, community well being, environmental preservation and strengthening families.
