Dr. Clancy: It’s never too late to benefit from healthy living. Even if you’ve had a lifetime of unhealthy habits, taking action now can still have a positive effect on your overall health. I’m Dr. Carolyn Clancy, Director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The most important things you can do to stay healthy are get recommended screening tests; be tobacco free; be physically active; eat a healthy diet; stay at a healthy weight; and drink alcohol in moderation.
