DoD IG Privacy Office
 

The DoD IG Privacy Office administers the Privacy Act program for the Department of Defense, Office of the Inspector General.  The Privacy Office’s mission is to minimize the impact on the individual’s privacy, particularly the individual’s personal information and dignity, while achieving the mission of the DoD IG.  The Privacy Office serves as the steward of the Privacy Act of 1974 and the numerous laws, Executive Orders, court decisions and policies that protect the collection, use, and disclosure of personal and DoD information.
