MMWR Instructions for Contributors

Before submitting a report, contributors should carefully read and follow the standards for writing an MMWR Weekly and Serial Publication (i.e., Recommendations and Reports, Surveillance Summaries, and Supplements). Reports submitted to MMWR that are substantially not in accordance with these standards will be returned to the contributors for rewrite and resubmission. Adhering closely to these standards will result in a smoother production process for contributors and the MMWR production team.

Instructions for Continuing Education

The MMWR office is now offering continuing education credit for the Weekly reports. We now require that all contributors and co-contributors listed in the "Reported by" section of a report submit 1) a financial disclosure form and 2) a short bio form OR a recent CV once the report has been accepted. Send all to Barbara Stallworth at bys5@cdc.gov or fax to (404) 498-2388. A typed signature on the disclosure form is sufficient. We also need the Corresponding Contributor to submit 2 or 3 content questions with answers.
