MilitaryHOMEFRONT Accessibility Policy

Military HOMEFRONT is committed to providing users with the most current and timely information possible. Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act as amended, 29 U.S.C. Section 794d, requires that when federal agencies develop, procure, maintain or use electronic and information technology (IT), they must ensure that federal employees and members of the public with disabilities, have access to and use of information and data comparable to that available to non-disabled employees and members of the public unless meeting compliance standards would pose an undue burden.

The web pages hosted by Military HOMEFRONT have been tested in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned Act. If you have difficulty accessing any portion of this site or would like additional information on our 508 efforts, please contact the Webmaster via the link at the bottom of each page.

Military HOMEFRONT is dedicated to serving you and will strive to meet and exceed your expectations.

  • For pages created since June 21, 2001 we make every attempt to follow the Access Board's web accessibility provisions.
  • For pages already up on our partner sites, we make the best use of our resources to ensure that all partner sites contained on these pages are available in a nondiscriminatory manner.
  • We modify our pages to comply with the Access Board's web accessibility provisions, to the extent that our resources allow (beginning with the most popular pages). For instance, Broadcasts media under our control shall be Section 508 compliant within the next 30-60 days.
  • For pages that are not modified, someone with a disability may request the information contained on an inaccessible page to be made available in an alternate format.
  • We will follow up on all such requests as soon as possible.
  • As we continue to enhance the current platform, we may use this opportunity to "retire" old pages that are not frequently used or that contain inaccurate and dated material. Section 508 does not, however, require us to get rid of existing pages just because those pages do not meet the new web accessibility provisions.
