Privacy Compliance Process

The DOJ Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties has released several documents used in the Department’s privacy compliance process. The Initial Privacy Assessment is used to determine whether a SORN, PIA, or other privacy documents are required. The DOJ Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties released Official Guidance to use in drafting Privacy Impact Assessments and a template for drafting PIAs in August 2010. Below please find the Initial Privacy Assessment, the Official PIA Guidance, and the template for Privacy Impact Assessments.
