Data Analytics to Support Program Operations

The Data Analytics MAC Collaborative brings states together with experts from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to consider how data analytics may be used to evaluate program outcomes, drive continuous improvement, and enhance transparency and accountability. This collaborative will foster conversation among states and CMS on high-priority outcomes in Medicaid and the Child Health Insurance Program (CHIP); opportunities and challenges in outcomes measurement; and best practices in using data to evaluate program success and inform policymaking. It also allows states to participate in the development of draft business process performance standards associated with the enhanced funding available for Medicaid and CHIP IT systems development.

The Data Analytics MAC Collaborative began in January 2012 and will run through August 2012 or later.
