The Patent Review Processing System (PRPS), the Patent Trial and Appeal Board's e-filing and case management system for trial proceedings, is now available. The USPTO is now accepting filings of petitions to institute trial proceedings established under the Leahy Smith America Invents Act.

What Do You Think About Lower Trademark Fees?

The United States Patent and Trademark Office is seeking public comment on the possibility of lowering trademark application fees for all applicants willing to engage exclusively with the USPTO by electronic means. Please see the Request for Comments in the Federal Register for details.

USPTO Launches New Search Tools

USPTO is making its patent and trademark examining manuals more accessible to the public through a new, user-friendly search tool. The Manual of Patent Examining Procedure (MPEP) and Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure (TMEP) search tools, which work like an Internet search engine, are now available.
