This report was prepared by the Office of Applied Studies (OAS), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and by RTI International (a trade name of Research Triangle Institute), under Contract No. 283989008 with OAS. At SAMHSA, Douglas Wright was responsible for the content, analysis, and writing of the report, and Joseph C. Gfroerer reviewed and provided numerous suggestions and improvements on its content and format. At RTI, Ralph Folsom was responsible for the overall methodology and estimation for the model-based Bayes estimates and prediction intervals. The following staff were responsible for generating the estimates and providing other support and analysis: Akhil Vaish, Neeraja Sathe, and Jie Liu. Bing Liu, Mike Vorburger, and Brenda Porter generated the tables. Ms. Sathe wrote the highlights and provided oversight for production of the report.
