  • UMLSKS Scheduled Downtime
    December 7, 2010
    The UMLSKS will be unavailable on Wednesday, December 8, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm ET. Both the Web interface and the Web services API will be unavailable during this time. Access for downloading UMLS files, however, will not be affected. UMLS files are available in the "Downloads" area of the UMLS Web site.

  • UMLSKS Retirement, User Reporting
    December 6, 2010
    The UMLSKS will be retired on January 31, 2011. To retain access to UMLS-related applications and UMLS resources, you must request a new license through the UTS ("Sign Up") and activate your account. The Sign Up link is located in the upper right corner of the UTS homepage.

    The UMLS Annual Report and semi-annual IHTSDO Affiliate License Statement of Account (for SNOMED CT® use) are due on January 31, 2011. You must complete the reporting requirements through the UTS after requesting a license and activating your UTS account. Details are available in the NLM Technical Bulletin.

  • UMLS Terminology Services (Beta)
    December 2, 2010
    The UMLS Terminology Services (UTS) beta version is now available. The UTS, which will soon replace the UMLSKS, includes a new license request interface and incorporates the browsing and API features of the UMLSKS. Details are available in the NLM Technical Bulletin.

    New UMLS users must request a new license through the UTS ("Sign Up") and access the UTS for all browsing purposes.

  • 2010AA UMLS Release available on UMLSKS
    June 4, 2010
    The 2010AA edition of the UMLS Knowledge Sources is available for searching on the UMLSKS.

    The 2010AA edition of the UMLS Knowledge Sources is available for download. For information about the release, see the What’s New section of the Release Documentation.

  • SNOMED CT®: International Release, January 2010
    January 29, 2010
    The January 2010 International Release of SNOMED CT® is available for download.  The file names and directory structure have changed, and the International Release is now distributed as a single zipped file that includes the resources previously distributed in the “Essential” and “Optional” files.  The single zipped file contains the SNOMED CT terminology, cross maps, subsets, documentation, and US drug extension.  Documentation regarding this change is available in the release: \Documentation\Current\doc_FileNamingConvention_Current-en_INT_20100131.pdf
