Protein Capture Reagents

Dr. Tina Gatlin is an analytical chemist by training, with particular expertise is in the field of proteomics. She is a relative newcomer to the National Human Genome Research Institute's (NHGRI) Division of Extramural Eesearch (DER), having joined in 2010 and spent most of her career in biotechnology, academic and non-profit research settings. As a program director, Dr. Gatlin provides leadership within DER in the planning and coordinating of activities related to proteomics.

Dr. Gatlin is involved in two Common Fund (trans-NIH) initiatives - Library of Integrated Network of Cellular Signatures (LINCS) and the Protein Capture Reagent Program. The latter program is a bold new initiative aimed to generate a community resource of renewable, high quality affinity reagents to all human proteins, initially using transcription factors as a test case.

Dr. Gatlin received her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Washington in Seattle.
