Awards and recognition

2011

  • Womenshealth.gov won the Government Customer Support Excellence Award in the Customer Focus Excellence category. Our information referral center staff were recognized for their ability to handle sensitive calls while keeping callers calm and focused.
  • Womenshealth.gov and girlshealth.gov were rated as top performers in the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) Survey. Womenshealth.gov was ranked first among all other federal websites in the "information and news" category and girlshealth.gov ranked in the top 10.

2010

  • The Office on Women's Health was rated as a top agency on Twitter (@womenshealth) by Federal Computer Week, which said, "This constantly updated feed features information on women's health issues that is often hard to find."
  • Womenshealth.gov was rated as a top 10 government website by Federal Computer Week.
  • Womenshealth.gov wins a 2010 Aesculapius Award Certificate of Appreciation presented by the Health Improvement Institute.
  • The Healthy Woman: A Complete Guide for All Ages won a gold award in the 2010 National Health Information Awards. In addition, A Lifetime of Good Health and the Teen Survival Guide: Health Tips for On-the-go Girls earned merit awards.
  • Health magazine recognized @womenshealth (our Twitter feed) as a "health tweet you can trust" and told readers to "follow this feed."
  • Womensheath.gov's information on Early-stage breast cancer treatment and Depression during and after pregnancy were finalists in the 2010 ClearMark Awards.
  • O,The Oprah Magazine, ranked womenshealth.gov as a top women's health website. Our cancer information was recommended by oprah.com and Paula A. Johnson, M.D., chief of the division of women's health at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
  • Womenshealth.gov was mentioned on today.com in the article "20 Ways to Get Healthier for Free."

  • The Healthy Woman: A Complete Guide for All Ages was named one of the 2008 Best Notable Government Documents by the Library Journal.
  • The American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) E-Government Satisfaction Index ranked womenshealth.gov second among all participating federal websites in the news and information category in their 4th quarter ranking.
  • The American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) E-Government Satisfaction Index ranked womenshealth.gov fifth in their overall 4th quarter ranking (the overall ranking rates all participating federal websites regardless of category).
  • Womenshealth.gov was rated as a top 10 great government website by Government Computer News.
