Screening Tests and Vaccines
Vaccines
Vaccines can protect you from harmful infections. Some adults think only children need vaccines. But this is not true. For instance, a yearly flu vaccine is recommended for adults of all ages, including healthy adults. You may need certain vaccines because of:
- Your age
- Your health or health history
- Where you live
- Where your work and the kind of work you do
- Your lifestyle
Find out what vaccines you may need:
- Young adults ages 19-24
- Adults ages 19 to 64
- Seniors ages 65 and older
- Pregnant women
- People with health conditions (such as asthma, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, or HIV)
