The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has developed marketing tools to assist health care organizations in getting the word out about AHRQ's preventive and primary health care tools and products. Organizations may use these marketing tools to promote AHRQ's preventive and primary health care resources to their membership in a newsletter or other type of publication. Organizations can also contact AHRQ about adding their logo to AHRQ materials through a reprint partnership.

The electronic Preventive Services Selector (ePSS) is a free, downloadable, and interactive Web-based application designed to help primary care clinicians identify the screening, counseling, and preventive medication services that are appropriate for their patients, based on U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommendations.

The Staying Healthy Pamphlets are consumer-friendly brochures that clinicians can give to patients. The pamphlets help patients learn what daily steps they can take for good health, whether they need medicines to prevent disease, and which screening tests they need and when to get them. Each pamphlet highlights a different patient group: adult men, adult women, and older adults.

The Veterans Health Administration partnered with AHRQ to create fact sheets for health care providers that explain the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommendations for several cardiovascular diseases. Myhealthfinder is a special feature of the Web site www.healthfinder.gov (sponsored by the Department of Health and Human Services) that provides free information on preventive and primary health care exclusively for the general public. Consumers can use this free interactive tool to get personalized health recommendations for themselves or a family member based on age, sex, and pregnancy status.
